It's only a game!

Today I received a 'Fwd' in my inbox- the future of the Indian cricket team. I cannot even believe that am writing about this. It was a funny mail created by someone with time on their hands and decent image editing skills.

We do this all the time, lay hopes on a team to perform and then criticise them if they don't fare well. Wait a minute - 'criticise', uhmm no we vandalise property and create havoc in their lives. I guess its only natural to feel dissappointed and irked, but we do forget that it is only a game. Anyone who has ever competed in any kind of sport is aware of the pressures that goes with it. I am sure there might be others who will not agree with me and I'm in no way trying to start an argument but just commenting on something that I have seen happening all my life.

Its just a game, they are the only people who I think are good enough in the whole country and trust me no one ever goes into the field (whatever be the sport) wanting to come home without the winning trophy.
Peace

The icelandic handball team goes from being "our boys" to "that team" depending on results. Shameful really.
