As you grow older there are events, people, advice, words, etc…. that often keep coming back to you in some form or the other. The one of the many things that frequents my mind are my dad’s words and advice. He is a man of few words ummmm make that very few words. But whatever he has said is worth every penny, now that I think back upon them.
My dad used to always mention that I should read autobiographies of famous athletes, people of noble demeanour etc…. as that would help me in my life. I never got around to doing it, always citing ‘lack of time’ as the reason which is arguable I guess..….anyways the point remains I didn’t.
However, what prompted me to write this post was that, since my introduction to the world of blogs I’ve been reading a lot of informative and interesting blog posts maintained by famous people in various fields. The exposure from the learning blog posts has built my confidence, increased my knowledge while the non-learning blogs have been informative and entertaining.
Now coming back to my dad’s advice - it has made me wonder if BLOGS count at all?? They are not autobiographies but in many instances they are day to day experiences or discussions of what great minds think and feel. Not sure what my dad would say about that, as he isn’t too clear with the concept of blogging though is aware that I happen to maintain one too.
Well, this is just one of those thoughts that compel you to blog and make you reminisce about the wise words and cool people – my dad.
