I seem to feel bored every now and then. So that is when I wondered what is boredom actually?? I looked up the meaning at dictionary.com and it said something on the lines of dullness due to tedious or repetitive tasks.
So, here I was at work and super busy but still as it was nearing around 16:30 I felt myself getting distracted and even took a walk to the fill up the water bottle. It was while I managed a stretch that caught the attention of a few curious colleagues of other departments who were looking at me with amusement and some with total disgust. I can totally understand the disgust bit as I'm sure they would have been thinking of the ample time that I had while in fact I was and still am totally stacked with work for the next 3 days and more.
It's a strange contradiction of being bored when I have so much to do. As I write this a conversation comes to mind where I was told, ‘ You are bored because the things you have to do are not appealing’, also I did read on a website once that being bored just goes to show that you are not interested at all.
On second thoughts I think the word is overused and not necessarily means any of the above. Everybody once in a while needs a change and some distractions to continue with their daily life. Maybe a sort of break – be it from work, household chores, duty, responsibility and sometimes even a vacation. I guess when we don't know how to describe a feeling we often use the four letter word or do we???. ...who knows!!

Well I did something nice yesterday when I was completely bored. I made a list of all the books I have read and put them in a library at http://www.librarything.com/catalog/dpak
Change the view to covers it looks better that way.
