When someone is polite or genuinely helpful we do tend to think for a second if there is an ulterior motive behind it.
I've also noticed that in times when we are just happy by the behaviour and don't think much, along comes a person and sows the seeds of doubt in the mind by saying - ' Be careful, why would they do help you out of the blue?'
And thus begins the journey of questioning every move....Pretty sad!!
