Decision

When I went to bed tonight

I said a prayer and closed my eyes

As I drifted away into sleep

The dreams started carving images deep

Just like stories that get told

My dream suddenly turned real and bold

There I stood upon a land

Beckoning me with their outstretched hands

Stood Wealth and Peace with their arms open wide

Asking me to make a choice
Not with haste but with poise

I knew not what to choose
For I couldn’t decide which was good

Wealth I knew was a friend
Peace if left behind, I could never mend

So I turned back and went my way
With a hope that I’ll return some day
And when I’m strong, with them I’ll stay
