Renée’s life wasn’t complicated or difficult and yet she found herself wound up and tired most of the times. A break was not something she could ask for especially since she had just returned from a business / pleasure trip from
Today was nothing different to what she had been doing and yet she could feel herself up and running in every which way. As she sat down with the coffee at her desk she could feel a renewed energy boosting her mind, giving her ideas and she wasn’t even tired thinking up those ad campaigns. Renée knew something was different but couldn’t really place a finger on anything. She just brushed it aside and carried on.
Even back at her apartment she found herself content, positive and at peace. She then sat down to question this sudden zest for life and ‘happy’ feeling only to realise that she was ruining a beautiful feeling which eluded her for so long. She swore at herself and cooked up a lovely meal as opposed to the boring take-aways and watched a movie. That night she said a prayer thanking the stars for bringing her so much joy and making her realise that you don’t always need a break to be happy, calm and de-stressed.
Maybe, just like Renée we too need to stop looking for escapades to break the monotonous and stressful life that we think we are confined in. Maybe, we need to stop struggling with our lives and when we least expect it happiness will find us. ....who knows????
