An afternoon with Keats

Today afternoon I accidentally touched upon the poems of John Keats. I enjoyed reading them so much so that I almost missed my meeting.

The funny part was that I was working on an instructional design document when I was asked by a colleague about the free concerts this year conducted by the City of London. So along I went to their website to check the concerts and thats when I chanced upon a link to the poem Ode to a nightingale.

That link took me straight to the poems of this genius. What a blissful 30 minutes it was. However a thought struck me while reading the poems...Did the poet know he was going to die?? He had written a poem - When I have fears that I may cease to be. This made me wonder since he died at a young age of 25.

It also then makes you think that some great lives are lost young.....

Note: The link is there for all you interested people. Enjoy!
