Slowing down

In this jungle of chaos
We seem to be sprinting towards the gallows

Not knowing when to stop
Or pausing to look around

We call this life
And we pretend to be doing ‘fine’!

If only we could see
What all this was doing to the ‘me’

But we don’t care
And nor are we aware

Of the damage it has done
With the constant run

But there will come a time
When we'll hear the chime

Reminding us to stop and reflect
On all things that are left behind

Agree! Well-written!
I read it once and then read it slowly again. And again...each time, I had to remind myself to "understand" and read...go deep.
