Wow! Somedays just touch your heart....I had to run a couple of errands today including the alteration my new 'FCUK' trouser. There is a story behind this trouser, paid a bomb for it, got it altered and paid for the damn alteration too. Second day of wearing the trouser, I found that the stitch on one of the legs got loose, just as I was leaving for work......so typical innit??
Back to today- I went to give the trouser for alteration and it was £4 for one leg, the lady (who does the alter) asked me to wait and said she would do it right away, I paid for it at the counter and was waiting. After she was done, she took the trouser inside and after a minute came out of the room, folded the trouser & quietly told me that she had stitched both the legs ( her back was towards the owner at the counter).
I was taken aback and touched by the generosity. I thanked her and stepped out into the sun with a smile and a heavy heart at the same time. Don't know why.....but I haven't seen a lot of people do good for nothing, it brought tears to my eyes, thinking the world still has a few good souls around.......
