Alone

Overlooking from the office window the other day, I saw 'this' tree on the round about and a small garden in front of it. The following is my own imagination.

The lone tree stood on the round-about with his bare arms outstretched asking to be hugged and loved. He mused, ‘what can I do to make everyone notice me?' Just like the garden that lay ahead, he also wished to be tended and cared for. He longed for those hands giving him the love he wanted. He knew he wasn't in the best of shape now, but again this was a passing phase. Come every winter he lost his charm, he regained his health and physique soon afterwards. It was always this season that got to him - he felt sad and lonely. He longed for a friend, someone to talk to but then who....

Why does "Alone" seem to have an uncanny resemblance to someone we both know very well?? ... :)
