This is not a new type of communication but as with most things am running behind. I quite like the concept of micro-blogging if I have understood it correctly. It's like 'status updates' in facebook. You don't have to write para's on your day or your thoughts ( like I do), but just a line or so stating whatever you like. It could be you are flying somewhere, watching a movie etc....( there is a lot more to it am sure).
There are quite a few micro-blogging sites out there, the only ones I have checked out are Twitter and jaiku. Each one is competing with another and as a result coming up with new add ons which only further helps us non-tech souls. I have looked at Twitter but might go in for Jaiku ( nothing in particular but having read the features of both, I though maybe Jaiku would suit me better....).
Once I get approved by the Jaiku team I'll be up and running and then might blog more about it.
Lots of interesting things out there guys.
P.S. Got to know of these tools only through the conference.

All these jaiku and Twitter are jargons to me.. wonder what these are.. but if all these are way to keep in touch with each other, then dont you think we are having too many sites for that- orkut, facebook, myspace, Wayn... too many... you lose count... for me one is more than enough...
Ah I hear what u are saying totally. I will agree also too many networking sites out there, however, 'I think' micro-blogging is different to social networking sites.....micro-blogging will be very much like 'blogging' but as the name suggests on a micro level. Might have more to add here when I finally get accepted by the Jaiku team....
